We both laughed and then I told him it sounded like he was raised right. He told me he's raising his two sons the same way. :)
Yah, there's a party this evening that I'll go to after Mass and a dinner party tomorrow afternoon. For my first Christmas in the sandbox (I've always made it home for the previous ones), it's very nice. The Christmas spirit is very much alive in Baghdad. :)

Going to a friends for diner but outside of that, this has been a very quiet Christmas.

My next one is early April. Going to the UK to visit my sister - yet another ex-pat in the family.
Ex pats make for quiet Christmas’s at home but give you great places to visit!

I go to England once a year to visit my sis. I've got to take at least one of my leaves outside the US to keep that ex-pat tax break! :)

That was one of the things I loved about working on military bases, when I was a single girl ... fine young men in flight suits or sharp uniforms holding doors for me and saying, “Can I do *anything* for you, Miss?”
Of course, now when I see young men in uniform, I say, “Thank you, son!”
