Stop illegal immigration

It is truly a disappointing situation in America when our children are cheated of a decent education.

With increasing class sizes causing a widening ratio between teachers to students, the illegal infiltration no doubt adds to the burden. Our children have to share their teachers with students who have trouble with the English language, in not only kindergarten but even in some high schools.

Teachers are spread far too thin, and have even depended upon their bilingual students to help lend a hand in translating.

Some may say the answer is to build more schools and hire bilingual teachers, but this is not the answer, but a patchwork solution that severely lacks foresight. Throwing more tax dollars at the problem doesn't solve it.

I speak not only as a citizen of the United States of America, but as that student who sat in that crowded classroom and helped translate for her teacher, and as that law-abiding citizen.

Ask yourself, why are there so many illegal immigrants? If there is no means of employment, there is no way to sustain a lifestyle. Enforce a law that already exists and penalize employers who hire illegal immigrants. The time to stop the vicious cycle is now.

She touches on one aspect of the hydra, but an important one.

My wife, a middle school teacher, has had pneumonia three times. And yup, it happens after some class members have “gone home” to Mexico and returned - often with no regard to class schedules.

I just wish they’d stay there.

Children should have to pass a simple modified English exam before they can be admitted to school. Only solution I can see. Special after hours schools should be provided for Spanish speaking students to learn enough English to be admitted. Dumbing down our schools to get those that cannot speak English is just doing America no good.

While establishment Republicans are ridiculing conservatives for taking an anti illegal stance, social attitudes are changing. The more Americans are out of work and struggling, the more they will resent illegals taking jobs and social resources. Democrats are locked into the pro open borders philosophy. It is a cornerstone of their Socialism. Republicans, even the establishment, Democrat wannabes better wake up, and seize the opportunity to let Americans know we are on their side. Let the dunderheads like Powell and the dreamers who think the Republican Party has to kowtow to illegal immigrants to get the Hispanic vote join the Obama cult. The rest of the Republican Party better get smart, or prepare to spend a political eternity as a diminishing minority party. We’ve had two elections and two examples of what liberal thinking does for Republicans.

You'd think some of these teachers would take offense to having to learn Spanish in order to keep their jobs.

Although the Teachers Union likes the idea of dumbing down the class. Makes their jobs so much easier.

My wife teaches first grade in Desoto County. She told me that a little Mexican girl transferred in last week from Mexico. She says her dad works for Jabil in Memphis. Looking at a web site on who promotes illegal immigration, Jabil is notorious for hiring illegals.

Woodland California, just West (15 mi) and North of Sacramento, of all the kids in the public schools 65% to 70% are Mexican. The city population is about 45% to 50% Mexican. Majority rules so, so much for trying to teach and maintain the American culture in Woodland California.

The more illegals that come..the more students..the more teachers, aides, counselors etc. The Rats and teacher’s union love it. More money more jobs. The taxpayer has no say in the matter. CA is going broke doing this and a tax increase will not solve the problem.
