Obama attends memorial for his grandmother By Associated Press

President-elect Barack Obama attended a memorial service this afternoon for his grandmother, who helped raise him.
Those military personnel on the Marine Corps Air Station K Bay, as we call it, are not soldiers..not to put too fine a point on it...we prefer to be called Marines.
I am surprised that this mega million dollar house he is staying at does not have a gym in the gated community. He is just showboating.
This is kind of gross but what do you bet that when granny was cremated, in the urn with her are the ashes of his original birth certificate?
According to the descriptions of the house it includes a weight room, but you are right he is showboating. He gets a charge out of the attention!
Unless Maya knew exactly where to look it was a damned fast search to find the original to include with the body. You can bet there was a lot of shredding going on as the apartment was being cleaned from 40 years of living there!
I have “minimum high regard” for Obama, much as the rest of my fellow Freepers.
That said, who knows what goes on in a family, how the “feelings flow”, etc.
Let’s allow this Chicago wonder boy bury his grandmother however he wants to. We would each like the same privacy, because none of our families are perfect and without strains and blames.
And, just in case you misunderstand me, I hold the Chicago wunderkind boy in minimum high regard, because he has a sadly flaccid track record.
The way he has voted “present” reflects the lack of hair on his chest, if you get my drift. But let him do the metrosexual, but sanitary, “scattering of the ashes” thing.
It is ever so “au courant” for the west coast liberals. They all are true believers out there, in the cremation/scattering way of avoiding the reality of death and grieving.
They have signed up for that service, called the Neptune Society, or something like that. I know, because I have a sibling who is a “believer” in the west coast group think.
They feel quite smug about it, kind of like they way they feel smug about owning Priuses. It is so important to be trendy, you know!
Yep, he thinks we all will swoon and faint.
Poor guy, what will he do when us unruly Americans don’t buy his “gig”.
I don’t vote for “pecs”, and don’t see them as a viable substitute for “other parts”. I am too old to fall for all the hustle and bluster.
Voting “present” is the major clue.
Too bad that so many “citizen-subjects” are so easily fooled. They bought the “sizzle”, not realizing there was no steak to fit the greasy smoke spewing out of the local “squat and gobble”.
He couldnt do this before. Had to wait for a vacation. Note the memorial held on same day as release of Blago coverup report. Note also Rahm is in Africa, unavailable by phone. He could have treated his grandmother better. She apparently is an afterthought.

The scam report of Jr investigating Jr will be lost in the shuffle with the Jr lovers accepting it as gospel! People simply won’t question Jr and they accept things too readily. When Grandma died and the news was released in time for evening newscasts Jr told an audience in N.C. about her death. He said, “She’s gone, she was born in 1922, which means she lived through two world wars and the Great Depression....” and not a single presstitute raised the fact that WWI ended in 1918, four years before Madelyn was even born. In articles a few days later that little statement was left out. Talk about covering up for ineptitude!
Just think about how hard she worked to make sure he had a good education, and the consequent opportunities.
As a grandmother myself, his total lack of recognition of her speaks volumes to me.
He must think he has earned all the glory himself. Such a shallow shell of a man!
What are we to make of our fellow citizens who voted for this male “pin-up” calender guy?
I say, as an old grey haired granny, to the rest of you young’uns. It is now time!
Hunker down, store up canned food, grains, beans, spices, first aid supplies, water, and sundries. Learn to hand sew and knit, get a good stash of cloth, yarn, oil lamps (and oil) essential tools, and bargain items.
“the skinny little hairless he” may not be the anti-christ, but he is close enough to make sure we keep our lanterns full, our guns loaded, and our wood piles stacked high.
