Rule #1 of statistics.
Correlation does not equal coordination.

I wonder if it has more to do with kids who eat breakfast tend to talk to their families while doing it, rather than the eating of breakfast itself. Kind of like how in America, children of families who eat supper together tend to do better in school/stay out of trouble.

How hard is this?
Children with absentee parents are more likely to skip breakfast.
Children with absentee parents are more likely to engage in sexual activity.

Let’s see parents don’t give a damn about their kids and don’t feed them breakfast soooooooo...... It must be all about more social programs to spend money on eggs and pancakes. I get it now, it’s ME! I’m not giving enough of my hard earned money to government programs. That’s why kids have early sex. DO I win a prize??

Sometimes I think researchers are just stupid. Correlation doesn't mean a necessitated trend. It's like discovering that more white people are written speeding tickets per month than black people and concluding that whites are prone to speeding.

Could it be that the parents of children who ate breakfast actually interacted with them during breakfast and they discussed issues of importance at the breakfast table? This as opposed to those children whose parents weren’t there to make sure they had a good breakfast and conversed with their children? Does anyone really believe that eating oatmeal or rice will really delay sexual activity?

Might have something to do with the fact that the potential partner is cooking breakfast.
