"They might no longer have that option. Our new government supports Hamas."

We haven't seen evidence of that. Yet.

The only good thing about being a cynic is that one’s predictions of the future are always 100% accurate.

Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal on Saturday called on West Bank residents to rise up against Israel in a renewed 'Intifada'

. . .but he requests a ceasefire . . . .
And the media just print this up without questioning this guy's sanity?

No, not yet, however, since our present government is the major Western supporter of the Islamist terror regimes of the KLA and Fatah, we might not notice if the Obama crowd chooses to follow a similar strategy.

My military fantasy is Israel using six or eight of its nuclear weapons to obliterate those “problem areas”. The radioactivity left also solves the problem of Hamas going back in to resupply and lob additional missles at Israel.
I bet that would get their attention.

They lost their new batch of recruits. They will want peace until they can replenish their numbers then call for the extermination of Israel again soon after.
