The calls for cessation of “violence” also come whenever the Israelis take any step whatever to defend themselves on any front.
And the call is always against Israel, never against those who openly and continuously attack them.
Oddly enough, Israel generally seems to react to those types of sick, irrational calls to martyrdom, in illogical ways.
Why is that?
I don't know the answer. It's like the left in this country. It's our fault, don't you know. But I don't see where we disagree. I think we are on the same page.
