The Israel Air Force used a new bunker-buster missile that it received recently from the United States in strikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
The GPS-guided GBU-39 is said to be one of the most accurate bombs in the world.

This is about precision and ground penetration. And extreme limit on collateral damage.
It is a shame it was necessary to act, but I think the Israeli's acted responsibly, given Hamas actions.

And given they won’t be supported by the US in the future.

Systems test before going after Iran?
Remember several months ago when a large number of Israel's strike forces were grounded at the same time (supposedly to check for cracks in the fuselage, or some such)?
Methinks they were being retrofitted to allow them to handle certain new US weapons?
Cheers!

I was wondering if the Israelis had access to the smart bombs, and it's true.
The terrorists should be so lucky to get precision bombed and minimize unnecessary deaths.
If they don't like it, get out of the terrorism business.

If Benjamin Netanyahu was Israel’s P.M., he would make our “SHOCK AND AWE” campaign in Bahgdad look like a cheap fireworks display...GO ISRAEL GO!!!

Good and I hope they stocked up during the last 8 years. Maybe Bush will send more in his last few days.

I am 61 years old, and the results of the November election make me ashamed of our electorate, the traitorous News Media, and our courts for refusal to verify qualifications.
I have no desire to even watch politics, but am obsessed watching the damage unfold. In total horror.
My ancestors were literally burned out of Alabama during Reconstruction after the last Civil War.

given they wont be supported by the US in the future. - Oil Price is Low
- New US President Less Supportive
- Israeli Election in 2 months
- The Muslim World best behave cause the chains appear to be breaking.

“Maybe Bush will send more in his last few days.”
We probably already gave them the plans to make more on their own. That is the way the Israeli’s like it better anyway.
Often they can upgrade the equipment and make it more effective. Easier to sell them a set of computer files for the plan than to have anyone carry several thousand lbs of explosives, detonators, guidance systems across the world.

Well, unless Obama sends a pilot and plane to drop the bomb for the Palis it won’t do much good to send them a bunker buster bomb.

“And Obama will send the same to Palestine.”
Not really a problem. The Pali’s have no aircraft to deliver the weapon anyway. So pretty much useless.
Now Carter, Bush, and Clinton all gave the Pali “security forces” weapons, armored vehicles, etc. That is wrong.
