As if Things Weren't Bad Enough, Russian Professor Predicts End of U.S.

MOSCOW -- For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart in 2010. For most of that time, he admits, few took his argument -- that an economic and moral collapse will trigger a civil war and the eventual breakup of the U.S. -- very seriously. Now he's found an eager audience: Russian state media.

Igor Panarin In recent weeks, he's been interviewed as much as twice a day about his predictions. "It's a record," says Prof. Panarin. "But I think the attention is going to grow even stronger."

Prof. Panarin, 50 years old, is not a fringe figure. A former KGB analyst, he is dean of the Russian Foreign Ministry's academy for future diplomats. He is invited to Kremlin receptions, lectures students, publishes books, and appears in the media as an expert on U.S.-Russia relations.

When they outlaw firearms only the government will have firearms.

Government, and outlaws.

Matt, I can’t wait to read the next installment of Enemies. I want to know when you are going to start selling T-shirts and Flags with the EFAD logo. Those would be cool.

His predicted split looks reasonable, except I don't think Sarah will cede to Russia!

Nope. Not even close. If they want to start viewing the breakups, start with a county map and then start drawing borders from there.

Five new nations? That means five new nuclear powers as well. Every one of those 'regions' has nuclear weapons and no one will give them up.

The picture is simplistic. You right in that Alaska will never be part of Russia; as for the rest of it, we need to try to ensure that the place is divided along county lines and not state lines. Too many places like Maryland which would be perfectly normal red states with the removal of one or two goof cities and counties and that includes the northern half of the left coast. We need to make sure we have ports on the left coast and the lefties need to ensure that they have land corridors connecting the pieces of whatever they end up with. They’re not interested in rural real estate, which they refer to as ‘flyover country’.

This theory does not understand the fierce independence of the redneck Appalachian, Southerners and Westerners. If there is a breakup, we will likely own the southern eastern seaboard, Appalachia (from West Virginia to the Gulf of Mexico), Texas, Oklahoma, and a corridor of Western states up to Canada.

The socialists states, will be oppressors and encroachers on par with the USSR and Nazi Germany.

I’d like to live just long enough to vote in one election in which the choice was between republicans and libertarians, and democrats were not involved.

There is absolutely no way that Utah, parts of Nevada, Idaho, and eastern Washington and Oregon would join with California.

The guy hasn’t a clue!

I trace the dissolution of our nation to the establishment of government schools. Government schools from the beginning were established by socialists. Their goal from the beginning was to create a compliant, docile, and easily manipulated citizen. The government schools have won!

So?....Why are god fearing people continuing to send their kids to government schools. Why do they cooperate in paying for them?

Close the government schools down completely. Christians could do this if they could only see the danger.

Nice thought, but it’ll never happen. Without their “hosts counties” the parasites couldn’t survive. And they have the votes.

I'm not sure if the artist is selling stuff with that logo on cafepress any more. I just bought the rights to use it on my first book cover.

I agree - most people would call this thinking a heresy but really why should we stay together? The opportunity to escape most federal taxes should be incentive enough for most thinking people.

The more local the government, the better.

If it happens, it’ll most likely start in Texas and Utah, and it would immediately take ten or twenty western states with them. There are a half dozen or so things which would trigger it, and the dems are hard at work on all of them.

For decades - I’ve been convinced we were the frog in tepid water — with unseen hands slowly turning up the heat..

This past November - they turned the heat up several notches.

Unfortunately - we’ve become too “civilized” or removed from the ability to violently react to obvious threats by attacking ANY of the human icons of our enemy.

I could name HUNDREDS of individuals who would have been arrested or shot in the streets just a hundred or so years ago, had they behaved in the traitorous and treacherous manner they behave today..

Think of the difference just a few “acts” could have made in the History of Europe before WWII...

I just can’t wait to join the European Union. I wonder what his predictions are about the survival of ...um... Russia.

Idaho east to Minnesota and south to the Gulf! We might have to sanitize Denver but everything else should be good.

I don’t see the Carolinas, TN or KY joining “Atlantic America.” They’d go where the rest of the Old South goes.
