COLORADO SPRINGS Sean Kennedy had been drinking at a weekend Broncos party when he drove to the wrong Colorado Springs house, scared the homeowner by pounding on the door and was fatally shot, his father said Monday.
Police said they plan to hand over the case to the district attorney's office to decide whether the homeowner will be protected under Colorado's so-called "Make My Day" law, which allows people to use deadly force in self-defense in their homes.
Grant Kennedy of Colorado Springs said his 22-year-old son moved to the neighborhood four months ago and apparently was confused about which house was his because they look alike

Idiocy is fatal.
Driving drunk was his first mistake.
It only got worse from then on.
These things don't happen in a vacuum.
They probably allowed his drunken behavior. They accepted things like pounding on the doors like an animal.
All of which is unacceptable behavior and deadly when you take that show on the road.
He was 22 years old. At what age are parents free from the mistakes of their children?
Charge his parents for what?

What do you intend to charge his parents with? Probable cause of setting bad examples?
Yes...because they won't learn enough of a lesson from their son's funeral.
I think the correct answer is "don't charge the homeowner".
Tragic set of circumstances started in motion by the young man's excessive drinking.
well, understandable mistake since he was acting like a Kennedy.
Not really. Other than him, no one died.
