The arrest HAD to have been the result of racial profiling, organized by the Auburn's athletic department in retaliation for Barkley's racially motivated comments directed towards them for not hiring Turner Gill as head football coach. //sarc//

If Charles Barkley is still planning on running for public office, he better make sure to register as a Democrat. Otherwise this will become a campaign issue.

If he sobers up, maybe he’ll be able to spend more time on correcting the WORST golf swing in the history of mankind.

Barkley's a moron. He says a lot of off-the-wall political BS. He also makes occasional racist remarks about white players. And those gay-like commercials with him and Dwayne Wade are beyond strange.

BARKLEY BACKS OBAMA

Charles Barkley, former pro basketball star and former Republican, is attending his first political convention to support his friend Barack Obama.

"I think he would make a fantastic president," Barkley told CNN. "I never thought in my lifetime I'd see a black man get the presidential nomination. This is historical."

He can't count to 21 unless he's naked.

CNN: THE SITUATION ROOM
February 21, 2007

Hillary Clinton Versus Barack Obama; Interview With Charles Barkley:

[bottom of transcript...]

BLITZER: If you take a look at the political situation now, the war in Iraq is clearly dominating so much of the political environment. Where do you stand on this conflict?

BARKLEY: You know, Wolf, it’s very simple. They said we were going to Iraq to get rid of Saddam Hussein. He had been in prison for a couple of years and now he’s dead.

That situation has not gotten better. So it’s an easy call for me. We’ve got to get out of Iraq.

I mean, he was in jail for a couple of years. Now he’s dead. That situation hasn’t gotten better.

So anything the Republicans say about the war in Iraq, it’s just bogus. I mean, it’s a terrible situation. We’ve got a lot of innocent kids getting killed over there. And we’re never going to be safe over there.

BLITZER: Your bottom line is simply get out?

BARKLEY: We’ve got to get out.

BLITZER: Charles Barkley, thanks very much for joining us.

BARKLEY: Thanks for having me.
