When Coleman ahead, Reid and the senate were prepared to “intervene” and not seat Coleman. Now that Franken is ahead (by 50 votes with more than 2000 outstanding) they plan on seating him right away.

Well hell, they’ve (the GOP) been completely silent so far. Why would Reid assume anything different when he seated Franken.

I’m not.

Republican Senate Leadership is an oxymoron. They’re “furious”... it’s like the UN Security Council telling some rogue nation, “Stop! Or we’ll tell you to stop again!”.

Strong statement by Ken Blackwell condemning all this. I like his style.

All that will ensure is that McConnel will attempt to filibuster nearly every part of the Obama agenda.

With 41 Republican senators motivated by this act to oppose Reid, Obama may find it will be very hard to get any of his agenda passed.

Then in 2 years when the next eletion occurs the Demorats may do very badly. The corruption stories on top of corruption stories with mixed with worsening economy just might take the Senate back to 51 or 52 Democrats and no chance of Obama getting anything passed.

The anger of the left at Reid and Obama blowing the biggest leftist chance since 1933 could cause a lot of them to take a walk in 2010 and 2012.

The media has over and over presented the Obama win as a huge win. When he fails to deliver the goods they want, they are going to blame Obama and his fellow Democrats.

At the end of his term Obama could make Bush look like a popular president.

GOP leaders reacted angrily

I'm surprised they have even done that much. Hyperbole, perhaps?

Good idea Harry. Refuse to seat the black man but give the psychotic rich white guy a seat.

Seems to me that minorities might want to take a long hard look at who actually treats them as equals and who simply uses them to hold power.

Hey Reid! The appropriate point in the process is at the end of the process.

What is it with Dem Senate Majority leaders? Between Reid and Daschle I’d say the same bug crawled up their rear ends and died. Such miserable bastards.

Well Franken will be the Senator fake for six years until he proves that he can win an election fairly like Gregoire did this year, but the last four years she was known as Governor fake...Franken is going to have to win legitimately to lose that title.

From the article, Dirty Harry back in November:

“As the process moves forward,” Reid warned, “Minnesota authorities must ensure that no voter is disenfranchised. A citizen’s right to have his or her vote counted is fundamental in our democracy.”
Yes, Harry, but don't count some citizen's vote twice, and don't count votes that have no ballots to show where they came from. Citizens also have a right to know that only actual, legitimate votes are counted.

This is a complete joke. Minnesota is worse at holding elections than Florida. And that's saying something.
