U.S. to abandon Israel

U.S. Intelligence Official about Israel: "This is just the beginning".

U.S. Intelligence official "breaks silence" on Israel situation"

Homeland Security

31 December 2008: Northeast Intelligence Network director Doug Hagmann interviewed a highly-placed U.S. intelligence official late yesterday who not only confirmed rumors about escalated and more intensive Israeli military operations against the Muslim terrorists in Gaza, [but] warned of the increasing probability of abandonment of Israel by the U.S. and other Western countries based on what he termed "malicious intelligence."

"Remember that term," advised this well-placed intelligence official, "you'll be hearing it again."

"This is just the beginning," stated this intelligence official, who wished to remain anonymous. This official stated that the possibility for a much more protracted ground war is more likely today than at any other time in the past, adding that Israel is exercising her right to protect herself from her enemies in Gaza. But there is a catch, noted this official, and a big one at that: Israel could be about to lose the support of the United States.

"I have every reason to believe, based on what I've seen at my level of [security] clearance especially over the last several years, that Israel will soon be completely on their own… or worse."

When asked what could be worse than losing the support of the United States, he stated:

"when our administration provides more support to Arab countries [with] financial and military aid, undercutting Israel's defense efforts all while pushing Israel to succumb to the pressure of unreasonable demands designed to end with their political annihilation as a nation."

Misleading e-mail: From Audacity of Hope: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Actual quote from “The Audacity of Hope” [pg. 261]: Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

So your animosity towards Israel stems from what?

I remember when a leftist Jew commentator wrote that he was now at a point where he could imagine a world without Israel. The lefties out here where I live were furious with me for observing that the farther left politically a Jew was, the less supportive of Israel they were.

It was true then and it is true now. I have always wondered why American administratios invariably urged Israel to exercise restraint after they had been goaded in to attacking the Palastinians who have been killing them with regularity for years.

Something stinks! It is clear that Jimmy Carter is anti-Semetic. He is a leftie though not Jewish. He’s just a plain old fashioned redneck Jew hater. What has been puzzling is that Republican administrations have also asked Israel to soft pedal their military responses to being routinely murdered.

I don’t know what credence to give to this “intelligence” officer, since part of what they do is routinely pass along B.S. for their own purposes. If in fact Israel is abandoned, I believe that we will quickly find out what it is like to have nucleur weapons going off all over the planet.

We should not be wondering about what will happen to Israel if the US turns her back but wonder about what will happen to the US.

US to abandon Israel at their own peril.

Both excellent observations. People always bitch about the money we give to Israel who is our only, true ally in the Middle East and whose return on investment (ROI) is huge. The US has benefitted from Israeli advances in the fields of science, technology, medicine, personal security, and national defense systems including anti-missle deterrents, identifying potential terrorists, commercial anti-terrorism meaaures as so on.

But Bush wants to give $20 billion in weapons to Saudi Arabia, the home of Bin Laden and 15 of the 9/11 terrorists, the principle exporter of Islamic fundamentalism, the richest nation on earth, and the most religiously repressive one, too.

When when the Bush Administration gives #20 billion to Saudi Arabia with nothing to offer us in return, except the use of an airbase and a few vague promises to keep the oil flowing.

We give $18 Billion to Egypt in advanced weaponwry, obstensibly for protection against the Iranans and the Muslim Brotherhooda a few security monitors.

I’m wondering why none are balking at Bush’s proposal to give $billions in advanced weaponry to radical Islamic countries? The Bush Administration wants to give $20 billion in weapons to Saudi Arabia, the home of Bin Laden and 15 of the 9/11 terrorists, the principle exporter of Islamic fundamentalism, the richest nation on earth, and the most religiously repressive?

Did you know that tourists to Saudi Arabia cannot bring in a cross, Star of David, Bible, or any other religious object that is non-Islamic? Did you know that Saudi Arabia forbids anyone with an Israeli passport from entering, and until 2005, the official tourist website specifically stated that “Jewish people” are banned from visiting.

Bush also wants to fork over $18 billion in advanced weaponry to Egypt, the home of the Muslim Brotherhood (a terrorist group worse than Al-Qaida), principle smuggler of illegal arms into Gaza, and principle exporter of the most vile and despicable anti-Semitic media ever seen or heard.

The Bush Administration naively believes that Egypt and Saudi Arabia would only use these weapons in self- defense against Iran and would never use them against Israel. Yeah, right. What about the American weapons they used against Israel in 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973. What about all those American arms illegally smuggled to Gaza?

Aiding and abetting terrorist-supporting countries makes no sense whatsoever, but aiding our strongest ally Israel makes perfect sense. First of all, Israel is a strong bulwark against Islamic terrorism. Next, Israel receives no direct, economic aid from any other country. The other countries in the world have turned a blind eye to Israel’s suffering, choosing to fund Hezbollah’s requests for more rockets instead Before anyone bitches about the $3 billion-a-year that Bush had planned to give to Israel, you should know that we’ve already gone back on our pledge and diverted a big chunk of it to the Iraq War. Thanks to that turn-about, Israel will have a $550 million deficit next year that will severely limit its ability to defend itself. However, no cuts have been made to the monies going to Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Now, that’s something to shout about.

I always wondered why so many Christians don’t believe that God really meant it when he went to a new covenant.
***
Under the Old Covenant you had no right to the God of Abraham if you were not a Jew. The New Covenant made clean what was called unclean...a gentile (non-Jew...all who would believe, the world)...and gave you the same rights as Gods Chosen people. You were grafted in by the New Covenant. God did not expect people to become more sinful with this honor....or to think they had a right to blatently disobey God with a get out of jail free card. “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.”
It is a narrow path...not the wide one that is easy and many travel.

I am skeptical that the offer will be that crudely put - especially, if offered as a direct quid pro quo - but I do expect Iran to offer B. Hussein Obama something for either a “moderation” of US support to Israel or increased pressure on the Jewish state. I am skeptical of a direct swap for one reason alone: a direct quid pro quo would entail a radical redirection in US policy, an act which would generate a political firestorm. Obama is too shrewd for a folly of that magnitude. I do believe he wants to decouple the US from Israel, but realizes the change must be gradual and imperceptible. One might liken the change Obama seeks to that of the old story of a frog in water. If you drop a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will leap out. But if you put it in a pot of water at room temperature, the frog will not drop out. Then, if you slowly, very slowly, heat the water, the frog will not notice the change in temperature until its too late. I fear that one day within the next four (or God forbid) eight years we will wonder how the US came to abandon so many of the pillars (foreign and domestic) that held this country up since 1776.

Indifference, not animosity. Let them deal with their own problems.

The USA is going to be taken out of the equation. We’re not a major player in endtime events. There may be remnants of our forces that may be over there, but that’s it. We won’t be a superpower.

The idea that the left plans to abandon Israel has been floating around for awhile...

The left in Israel is no different. 'Peace at any price' is not a new idea, nor does it have a nationality. US support, political and military, has been an anomaly in the world scene for a long time. Obama hates to be different.

We would have no reason - rational or otherwise - to cease to support Israel.

Try to think the way a clinton-BO axis would about this. Reason has nothing to do with it. Political expediency and major bux, however...
