It wasn’t so funny when Michael Richards went off on his tirade, if the one that Kathy Griffin was talking to was say a Muslim... she would probably be on a hit list somewhere.

I agree. These people don't seem to get it that it quits being funny when it becomes nothing more than a vicious attack on someone, no matter if they richly deserve it or not.
Profanity is the first weapon the weak-minded grab in a verbal contest.
