How would you like to wake up New Year's day to read an opinion piece in your paper's entertainment section equating the United States of America to Nazi Germany and depicting Iraqi insurgents as being akin to a little known group of Polish Jews who rescued over a thousand people from Hitler's concentration camps?
That's a great way to start the New Year, dontcha think?
Well, the good folks at the Kansas City Star seemed to miss the inappropriateness in such sentiments during the holidays when they published "Is WWII In Movies Really Iraq?"

Well, at least we’re not Soviet Russia or Communist China, which in terms of raw numbers of humans slaughtered, were much worse than the Nazis.
But I’ll bet Noel doesn’t even know that.
I’m a little disappointed. The way the lefties view America as so rotten and lousy, why don’t they think of the U.S. as “WORSE” than Hitler?
What do we gotta do to get the respect of lefties? They keep ranking us lower on the evil poll than Hitler.

You forget that the Left says that Saddam was better for Iraq than Bush and that Saddam knew how to keep terrorism down to a minimum. Even Senator Ted Kennedy, murderer, drew an equivalence between the way Saddam ran Abu Ghraib and the way it operated under the US.
This guy is cracked. Nazi Germany wouldn’t put up with one tenth of the nonsense we do. How would Hitler deal with Pirates? The Middle East? The Liberal Press? Mexican illegals?
No—we are NOT Nazi Germany, heck we are not even Mussolini’s Italy.
Why the hell aren’t the Jews pissed off by these ridiculous analogies? An overused analogy like this for something completely out of the realm absolutely insults the suffering that the Jews actually faced at the hands of the Nazis.
