It is relevant to the question I will pose that he omits any mention of the world's left, even when mentioning the European Union. Who exactly in the European Union is condemning Israel? Its conservatives? Who in America is condemning Israel? Conservatives? Who in Australia or Canada? Conservatives? Of course not. As regards Israel (and America and much else), the Western world's moral idiots, to use the term in the title of the Dershowitz column, are virtually all on the left, including and especially many of his colleagues in academia.
So, I have a question for my friend Dershowitz . . . why do you continue to identify yourself as a man of the left?

He could ask the same question of Sen. Lieberman. They are both pro-Israel, but both socially liberal for the most part.

well, at least he’s pro-israel. on the other hand, he has a visceral hatred for american conservatives who support israel; a strange dichotomy. it must be very painful for him to carry around such a conflict and still flourish in the country that has so exerted itself to fight communists, nazis, and two-bit despots; in a country which has supported israel with billions of dollars in aid on a yearly basis. (all that hate and rancor he carries with him must keep him all warm and fuzzy inside.)

Dershowitz is the kind of liberal who is for gun control but used to call up Charleton Heston every time the Barbarians were rioting and ranting about killing them interloping JEEEEEWS!!
