Washington, DC -- Barack Obama has named the lawyer who represented Terri Schiavo’s husband Michael in his efforts to kill his disabled wife as the third highest attorney in the Justice Department. Thomas Perrelli, who won an award for representing Schiavo's former husband, had severed on Obama's transition team.

Actually the second for me, Roe being the first, Terri was entirely predictable, and I predicted it, just didn't think it would take this long. Much worse is coming soon.
It made my heart physically hurt when I read that. Next he should appoint the lawyers of that guy in San Diego who raped and murdered that little girl. The guy confessed to his lawyers that he did it but they went ahead and defended him like he was innocent and even tried to blame the parents (who were partly to blame, by the way)
Sometimes I believe God sets all players in place like bowling pins so He can strike them down thoroughly and show who is Boss.
I knew that Obama was a bad man but he’s showing himself to be truly evil. The Culture of Death is spreading. How can we expect God to look on our nation favorably when our highest elected officials embrace such wickedness?
This must be a truly difficult day for Terri’s family. I’ll say a prayer for them.

Not unless the people repent. Those who voted for him at my job are still unbelievably giddy about him. He is a total con, and this appointment is a foreshadow of the death to come to the innocent. A total abomination.

You are right. Roe was the real landmark of barbarism.
Maybe what made Terri Schiavo’s case so stark was that instead of an invisible murder carried out in a womb, we saw a living adult human being deliberately being starved to death under specific judicial sanction. It came home to me that none of us is safe.
This is not a promising development.

The reason we are now living in the USSA is because the GOP adheres to the rule of law and the socialists don’t, AND GET AWAY WITH IT EVERY TIME, because their allies in the press control the message.
Of course Bush stood around like a fool while Terri Schiavo starved to death because he didn’t want to upset the “rule of law”.
The law is whatever those in power choose it to be.
