All dogs are NOT equally dangerous when provoked or enraged. Quite true. Any dog may bite, but many lack the ability to inflict much harm, even if they'd like to.

Not my story. Never had a pit bull. Then again, never had ANY pet I tied up in a yard either. Never had an un-neutered pet either.

For the catz... I fully expect the family to be grossed-out when my body is finally found. Catz gotta eat.
But catz do sometimes attack.
But, Dear Lord..... if you have kiddies, and pets.... The kidz are food until they are old enough to have attitude. Catz or dogs.

I agree. I live in town. I don’t have pets because I don’t want them in my house, don’t want them penned in or tied up.

MANY who choose pit bulls over any other breed do so BECAUSE of their violent, dangerous reputation.
How better to show how ‘bad’ and ‘tough’ you are than to have ‘control’ of a dangerous animal?
Their temporary illusion of ‘control’ too often ends with the death of a child- not them.

I cannot stand pit bulls. Please do not tell me its the I agree.
And the first sign of an irresponsible pit bull owner, is an owner who thinks their dog is different and wouldn't hurt a fly.

The parents are criminally liable and should be prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter at the least.

Okay, so you're not an animal person. Just so you know, not all pitbulls are blood thirsty hounds. Any domesticated animals, as a manner of speaking.
The owners are responsible for what THEY have created.....except of course, when it comes to cats. They are their own bizzaro world.

And the first sign of an irresponsible pit bull owner, is an owner who thinks their dog is different and wouldn't hurt a fly. My dog wouldn't hurt a fly, but in that respect he was just like many other Amstaffs and pit bulls I've known. His life bore that fact out beyond dispute.

That I agree with. Too bad we can’t just make the negligent owners extinct.

You are correct. I saw a dog kill a very young deer and it played with it and I swear it screamed like a human. Could not get to it soon enough to dispatch the dog. It was out in the field behind my house. I can still hear the sound.
