What really sucks is in many areas of life we don’t have a non-green choice. Like my car gets far better millage then I care for it to make. So I perform anti-environmental offsets. For example with each fill up I go through the McDonalds drive through and eat a couple of value meals while the car idles (producing burgers causes cow farts that promote global warming). I then drive down the road and throw my garbage into pristine rivers and try to run down rabbits or squirrels or something. It makes me feel better about my contribution.
Far easier to just set out a used hubcap with gasoline in it in the yard on a “Spare the Air” day here in CA...
Mickey D’s hasn’t offered enough anti-enviro options ever since they gave up the styrofoam sandwich boxes. The double one for the old McDLT was the crowning glory of their line, with its glorious double box: cold half with top bun and condiments, hot half with burger and bottom bun. Fortunately, I have saved one and keep it in a shrine together with a stuffed passenger pidgeon and an old CFC aerosol can. I perform genuflections each evening in the sure and certain knowledge that one day, Jim Watt and Helen Chenoweth will return and lead us to a golden age. *big grin*
