You have hit on something....if Anne Coulter and other commentators can make an issue of Reid and Pelosi being nothing but O-puppets then we might see some infighting that could slow down the slide to hell.

Just like muslims. They’re in charge now and they are fighting with each other. Feinstein has a problem with Reid now over Burris. Do they always have to be fighting with someone instead of just getting work done?

Snowe, Collins, and John McCain. just to name three.

I am never dissappointed in these three I expect them to stab us in the back and they always come through.

This is satire, right? I didn’t know Harry Reid could be so humorous.

I hope Nevada voters vote this old man out of the Senate and install New Blood in his place. Preferably Republican, but at least Conservative.

“If Obama steps over the bounds, I will tell him. … I do not work for Barack Obama. I work with him,” he said.

If nothing else, the next four years ought to be quite entertaining.

Isn’t that a shame?

Talk about stuck on stupid....the GOP has both Houses and the White House until McCain messes it up....then the GOP nominates McCain!

The message I get from that is that the GOP does not really and truly want to govern, only to occupy positions and they think the voters are too dumb to do anything about it....and so far they are right!

The only problem with Dems fighting each other is that I get the sinking feeling the resolution to all conflicts lies in all parties agreeing to give each other more of my money.

” Somebody cue Boots Randolph’s “Yackity Sax”. “

LOL! Great basis for a commercial, done as a Benny Hill bit, with sped-up jerky videos of corrupt Democrats by the dozen, spliced in with headlines about them. Make them look like the ridiculous clowns they are.

I knew this power struggle was going to come: yeah bring out the popcorn there will be a massive power struggle between both houses and the executive branch. It is going to get real interesting for sure.

Liberals aways give away other peoples money. I started to remind DEMS voters of that everytime I see them. Then I ask them to loan me money that I will never pay back.

I wish I had your optimism, EE. They will do whatever Obama wants; Obama will sign most of what Congress wants and; the MSM will call it a lengthy honeymoon. All in all, the stupid electorate will think that everyone is getting along because the MSM won't cover their beefs - or if they do, it will be portrayed as sour grapes over the "mandated" Obama administration.

We are so screwed....

IMO there is no small amount of jealousy with Reid and Pelosi and Obama and none will want to yield easily to the others.

The reality is that Congress makes the laws and the Executive branch puts them into action and there is nothing that says that the President gets to dictate to the Congress. So if Reid and Pelosi feel like pushing things on him they are in a better position to force him into action than vice versa.

And the more I think about it the less likely Reid is gonna want to be thought of as Obama’s Boy.

Reid and Pelosi both have a problem and that problem is called “Democrats in Red States”. Congress could have passed the TARP bill with just Democrats and no Republicans, but they didn’t because they didn’t want to leave their Democrat members in Red States hanging out to dry for such an unpopular bill.

Same with the auto bailout which is very unpopular and Obama’s stimulus which is going to be very unpopular once the details are brought to light.

The need Republicans to give cover to their Red State Democrats. It’s all about avoiding blame when situations worsen.

popcorn futures just went up........

Over on the DUmmies board, the moonbats are absolutely livid with Reid. Many are even calling for seating Burris, since Dingy Harry's on the other side of that controversy.

It's too bad, because Reid will take the fall for Obama's incompetence, and delay that day of reckoning that we've all been waiting for, when the mushy middle realizes that they've been hoodwinked by Barry and his media allies.

The Congress needs Obama more than he needs them. They all rode on his coattails. Were it not so, Al Frankenstein would not be a senator.

Bottom line is that they're all of the same mind anyway. Here comes FOCA, card check, don't ask/don't tell, fairness doctrine, tax the rich, spend wildly, sellout to the U.N., normalize relations with Cuba, etc. They all want the same things.

Yes, in the long run they do all want the same thing but imo the personal power and pride that these people have will not allow them to work together as claim.

Also, did anyone really ride Obama’s coattails?

Obama was such a weak candidate that he really did not overwhelm McCain as he should have...and McCain was such a weak candidate that he wasn’t able to beat a guy like Obama (yes Palin made the difference).

Bush and a few others made the GOP toast by allowing the Dems to manipulate and stretch out the Iraq war. If the Dems handn’t successfully drug things out then the war would have been over 2006-7 or so and the economy wouldn’t be as vulnerable as it was.

IOW, the Dems successfully pulled the rug from under Bush and then made it look like it was Bush’s policies and ineptness that put the war and economy where it was, when the truth of it was that the Dems engineered it all.

I guess I don't see it that way. I see the Dems needing Obama for re-election. They know they are hated and that Obama is loved by the world. Obama will always have that on them. Furthermore, the Obama voters have the koolaid IV drip going on....they'll always side with him...he can do no wrong.

In addition to the above, Obama has it in the bag for a second term because the GOP is dead. The Dems now own it all...and for the foreseeable future.
