Can Harry Reid read?
Good post, but a couple of days late. Harry Reid is in the process of backing down. ‘Course the Media won’t point out these embarrasing constitional errors on the part of the majority leader. We’ll just have to keep it between us Freepers. / sarcasm
Point taken. However, that might not come up until we look in the Constitution for the "Power herein granted" allowing the Congress to spend the public treasury administering the people's health care needs.
Perhaps I missed your point. The Constitution is not about the people. The Constitution established a new central government and directed exactly how that newly formed government functions.
The Constitution's only mention of religion is the government's recognition that some of the people may have religious beliefs. To that end the Constitution forbid the government from interfering with the exercise of those beliefs.
