I understand all that, but that’s not my point.
Since this whole episode broke on 12/9, the dems have basically been in attack with Blago. In my mind, all they have done is made a bad situation worse. Blago has the goods - I cannot believe the whole democratic party - both locally in IL and national in DC - have continually attacked him. I would have thought they would be looking for ways to make this whole thing go away, instead it appears that they are only fanning the flames and making it worse.

Criminals often are not the sharpest blades in the drawer. If they were, they could make a decent living WITHOUT being criminals!
