Here's the verbage from the transcripts. I think he is trying to establish as fact that Rahm Emanuel comes to him with ideas.

Also note the Ted Kennedy reference. I suggest that’s not happenstance given the Kennedy play with the Chicago machine/mob, and RFK’s son, Chris as a senate seat appointment hopeful. Who got JFK elected, anyway?
