President-elect Obama plans to honor Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), his general election opponent, at a dinner on the eve of his inauguration.
Vice President-elect Biden and former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell (Ret.) will also be honored in a move to symbolize Obamas commitment to bipartisanship, his inaugural committee announced Saturday.

At least Judas got 30 pieces of silver; McCain just gets a free dinner and a chance to show who and what he really was all along. I checked "Crime, Corruption" because, IMHO, McCain deliberately blew the election, becoming the Great Non-Republican Trojan Horse.

Bipartisan means bringing Republicans over to the democrap side, nothing else.

Wonder if Sarah was invited? If she was I hope she turned them down because she was busy actually running a State.

This is pure cynicism on Barry’s part. Can’t John just say “no thanks” or has his ego overshadowed his honor?

Why not - who did more for Obama than McCain (besides the media)? If the GOP ran a vertebrate, Obama would not be the president elect and could go back to being present.

Nah she wasn’t invited, Obama doesn’t want anyone taking his spotlight

Well, at least Barry knows how to show his gratitude. Nobody worked harder to get him elected than John McCain.

It would be really great to see Obama give him 30 pieces of silver as the highpoint of the dinner. As the single most contemptible individual in American politics, he certainly deserves it.
To: libstripper
Oh give us a break. Obama, McCain and Powell are all losers.
I suppose Obama has to find a way to spend money he doesn’t have.

No one can can convince me otherwise. John McCain had two motives in the 2008 election: 1) Get Barack Hussien Obama elected president. 2) Destroy the rising career of Sarah Palin.
My hope is he only acheieved one of those objectives.
Come AZ Republicans fin a good conservative to challange McCain in 2010 primary.

Ahhh, those must be the “my friends” that mccain kept talking about

Why NOT honor McCain?
He was Obama’s best campaigner... even joining in to attack his own VP choice - Sarah Palin, while never mentioning the ethical or integrity issues surround both Obama and Biden..
McCain performed exactly as scripted for him by the DNC and MSM.
A POX on his sorry ass.
