Why Hell Yes he should thank the one who gave him the presidency. Just like Dole gave Slick his second.
We have a rough 4 years thanks to RINOS like MCLAIM. LETS PRAY IT AIN'T 8.

I turned off the tube for a week or so after the election, and am going to have to do the same next week.

"Vice President-elect Biden and former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell (Ret.) will also be honored in a move to symbolize Obamas commitment to bipartisanship...." If he wanted to show "commitment to bipartisanship" he should have invited a conservative..... Or at least a real Republican.

I surprised Obama hasn't picked McCain for a spot in his Cabinet as his Bipartisan Czar...

I would respect McCain a little bit if he said no thanks.

McCain will fit right in. I can see them yucking it up and laughing at each and every one of us.

A preview of the event:
Obama: ...and I honor John McCain’s service and his honorable campaign. It was a tense campaign, especially when he nominated a conservative as his running mate, but thankfully my fans in the media took care of that. (laughter from crowd; McCain doubles over in mirth) And I, uh, uh....I..I..I...could someone fix that teleprompter...ok, good. And I want to thank John for being a feeble, impotent and all-around bad campaigner. I literally could not have done this without you, John. I mean, think about it, man, I have no experience with anything that even approaches a real job! But I look better in a bathing suit than you do, so that’s all that matters, I guess.
McCain: Thank you, President Obama...thank you my friends. You know, my friends...as I’ve always said...si, si puede! With that in mind, and due to the economic crisis, I’ve decided to suspend my party affiliation and caucus with the democrats. I’ll be available for interviews with all my old media friends, my friends.
Senator Franken: Doggone it, people like you, John! Want to see a picture of me in my rabbit ears and diaper? I’m a senator now! Wheeeee! I’m off to have a sleep-over with my new top adviser, Hugo Chavez...where’s my medication, ma?

.....Obama, McCain and Powell are all losers.....
And Joe Bite-One [Biden] too.

Commitment to bipartisanship? Hell - with that invite list - it's a dinner for people who helped get Zero elected, with Juan at the head of the table.

Think that the “bipartisanship” joke is only a tool to weaken and divide Republicans...
Republicans must clean their party

They should invite McCain’s former captors from the Hanoi Hilton to attend, that way he could hug and kiss them too, after all, he’s already groveling to our home grown Commies, why not his old pals too?

Thanks McCain for fighting for the Republican nomination and then for not putting up a fight during the election.

Yep..I watch 5 mins of news each day just to see what is up...I refuse to get myself involved in any of the Innaug-vomit coverage or anything. My stress levels are much much lower now that I do not watch the news.

Tiny Tom D'Asshole had a dinner to honor Jumping Jim Jeffords, after he screwed his party his constituents and his country. Funny how nothing more was ever heard of or from the lame Jumper after that. May McCain join him in well-deserved silent obscurity.
