Watch the second match-up between John Ziegler and MSNBC David Shuster. Ziegler wrote on his site that the character assasination of Palin was one of the greatest public injustices of our time. Shuster, out of the blue, brings up segregation and suggests that Ziegler thinks it wasn't that bad. UnFREAKINGbelievable.

This would be a good time perhaps, for a reminder that George Wallace was a Democrat.
As was Democrat Orval Faubus, the Arkansas Governor who stood at the doors of the school, and fought to keep Little Rock Central High, segregated.
It was (Republican) Eisenhower who solved that little misunderstanding ... with the National Guard.

Is there any possibility of getting segregated from liberals?

What the hell kind of first-hand knowledge does Shuster have of segregation?
This pampered little moron is a tool of the Left.

Yea. Actually have another civil war: Conservatives v.s. Leftists! Will is ever become official? I doubt it, but it’s still a possibility at some point in the future, especially as conservatism really becomes more and more suppressed in the future.

I always thought it was 101st Airborne that Ike called up.
I could be mistaken.

You are correct. It was the 101st Screamin Eagles.

No offense, but when are decent humans simply going to ignore the scumbags on MSNBC? Personally, it’s never occurred to me to turn that channel on. Never.
To: SolidWood
Oh wait.
Governor Faubus used the Arkansas National Guard to keep Little Rock Central High segregated, and it was Eisenhower who trumped that Arkansas National Guard, with the Army?
Sorry, you’re probably right.

Not the National Guard...they are called out at the state level. As William F. Buckley wrote so long ago “Goldwater would let the Little Rock Negro get along without his paratrooper”.
Eisenhower should have too. Everything the opponents of Federally mandated integration said would happen to the quality of the schools did indeed happen.

And so, some 1,000 troops from the 101st Airborne Division deployed to Little Rock. President Eisenhower said they would escort the teenagers to school.

Eisenhower took the Arkansas National Guard out of Faubus control and deployed then the 101st to enforce desegregation.

What I would like to see is a conservative editorial takeover of the NYTs and CBS is what I would like to see. We really need to break out of the box they are puting us in.

The last thing I want to see is that rat-faced little scumbag Shuster giving me his opinion.
Good grief.
