Tell you the truth, I am not sure how I feel about this article - because I have questions and don’t completely understand. I am pro 2nd ammendment, but I do not own a gun. It would help me if someone could explain why someone carries 21 firearms around in the back of a truck? I can see the collection at home, but don’t understand that many in teh truck. Is this where he stores them, or was taking them to shoot and wants a variet? This is not a judgemental questions, but rather a real question. I’m just trying to understand and because I don’t own any, I could use some assistance on this subject. So, Please educate me.
1) a pro-gun eccentric
2) a paranoid who is afraid that they would be stolen if they weren't always with him
3) was planning to shoot most or all of them at the range he was going to after he picked up his buddy
4) wanted to show his buddy all of his guns
anyway, it is none of our business and perfectly legal to carry all of your weapons with you.
It's not the quantity, it's what you do with them.
Guns are imperfect mechanical devices. Even the highest quality guns can be found to be defective at purchase.
One of the evil, scary "assault weapons" that I had to send out of state was an Armalite AR-10 which cost me almost $2000. When it arrived, the factory had mistakenly installed an AR-15 part into it instead of the proper part. This kept the rifle from cycling properly. Only a range test revealed the problem and much analysis was required to identify the problem.
On the same rifle, the feed ramp transition to the barrel crosses a seam in the metal. This small seam was capable of causing the pointy cartridges to bounce and misfeed, also causing cycling problems. Polishing the feed ramp eliminated the problem.
That's two serious problems in just a single, expensive firearm. Lower quality firearms tend to have even more difficulties that can only be worked out by firing them. For that reason, a person would take as many of his firearms as he could successfully test in order to refine the quality of his arms.
A few years ago, I attended a class to qualify for a Nevada carry permit. At that time Nevada required that one qualify with every firearm that one intended to carry and the make and model of the firearm appears on the permit. This required me to travel with SEVEN handguns to attend the class, and even then the inconvenience of carrying more has resulted in my not being able to carry some of my handguns using that permit.
You state that you don't own a gun. You don't state where you live. It is not possible to appreciate the burden on the law-abiding created by anti-gun liberals without jumping through their hoops yourself. You could probably find a gun-owning Freeper near where you live to help you exercise your Second Amendment rights.
moving? relocating his residence? and he was moving those items without a moving company?
Why not?
