I don’t see the problem, he didn’t try to take them into the terminal or board an aircraft with them.

Where exactly was he arrested?

I recall from an earlier thread that he was stopped at a random check point on the access road several “blocks” from the airport. “Blocks” as in a measure of distance. I’m not sure if there were any intersections for him to exit between the check point and the airport.

Earlier story says westbound Century Boulevard at Sepulveda Boulevard. Defintely outside the terminal area. The closest terminal is 300+ yards from that intersection, but depending on exactly where he was, he may not have had any option but to go into the terminal area, not that it matters, since having guns in your vehicle in the "terminal area" is not illegal. But that begs the question of what law were they trying to enforce with their checkpoint?

Unfortunatley he was Mr. Nice Guy, and cooperated fully with the *Airport* police. Got out and opened up the back of the truck and gave them the keys to the locked containers, and told them he had firearms in the back, opened those with combination locks too.
