Well, they say that journalism is the first draft of history

That may be, but Big Media does not practice JOURNALISM these days. They spout the DNC talking points, spin, lie by omission, and do not present anywhere near an accurate and HONEST account on what transpires.

Does Helen Thomas really write this stuff? I think she has a ghost writer because when you see her, she looks moribund. I saw her at the news conference today and specualted that she has been freeze dried and placed in that chair.

Helen Thomas gets it wrong, as usual. It's not that History will save Bush, but rather, that Bush saved History.

No new 9/11 attacks. Victory in Iraq! Libya disarmed of its WMDs! Syria kicked out of Lebanon! Charles Taylor dethroned in Liberia!

Who saved the U.S. banking system from collapse? Bush. In contrast, FDR failed that *same* test during the Great Depression (notice that no one is carving FDR into Rushmore, either).

Who banned partial birth abortion? Bush.

Who forced bad schools to be closed down with No Child Left Behind? Bush.

Why does Helen the Horrible (and other dimwits), think Hamas is not worthy of being bombed into oblivion? They act like Hamas is innocent?

Back to rule #1 to explain: Liberals think abortion is fine and dandy, therefore anything else they do or think, is “no biggie” for them.

They are morally twisted, for them right is wrong and wrong is right. They hate good and love evil. That must be the explaination for all these Hamas sympathizers.

Not to worry, Bush says he isn't concerned about how history will view his militant eight years in the White House, telling ABC News that he "won't be around to read it."

Fortunately Helen Thomas won't be around to read it either - if she is not already indeed dead.

BTW, it still chafes my butt that after eight years she and many other journalists call him Bush. not even giving him the respect of the office with President Bush that he merits.

As he leaves office, President Bush is passing on to his successor two wars and a growing economic debacle. What a way to go!

As he leaves office, President Bush is passing on our country to a socialist successor. What a way to go! That is what Bush should be ashamed of. While the media never dealt with him fairly, he had eight years to figure out how to get his message across despite the leftist media's bias, and he failed. The entire country is going to suffer, hopefully for only four years, because of that failure. Thank God that Bush at least got us as far as he did in two necessary wars, and I thank God that most of the "economic crisis" news is (except for the dangers of the bailout that Bush irresponsibly approved in response to the media frenzy) overstated, at least compared to where we are under Bush. A potential economic crisis under Obama? I imagine that will be far worse than what the media pretend we are facing today.
