I have this theory that she is like the portrait of Dorian Gray for the liberal press. All their sins show up on her face. (shudder)
It’s my belief that if Helen was a kind and gentle woman who had an once of decency to her there wouldn’t be a single person who cared what she looks like or would mock her.
There are shallow people who are exceptions to everything of course, but as a whole it wouldn’t come up.
No one has a say as to their looks, and she is about the only person I don’t mind denigrating on something so petty as appearance.
Good or bad, she is one of the few people who’s soul matches her body perfectly.
