Salons considered her persona non grata.
Tony. That's an obvious one. If he's a bad guy, Jack will take care of him. If he's a good guy, he'll die in some noble method around hour 22 or 23.
Jack's daughter (what's-her-name?). Other than eye candy, she's just too annoying to keep around. In season 2, I was rooting for the mountain lion.
The president's husband. He seems to like intrigue too much. Especially if he turns out to be a bad guy.....whack!
others? Comments?
“As near as I could surmise, she’s there to play “Jeanine Garafolo”.
She was clueless, incompetent, and frankly irrelevant on the broadcast last night. She wasn’t “acting”, she was still just being Jeanine”
She was brilliant in the movie “Bye Bye Love” but as we often see the performance is not really a performance- merely and actor playing themselves. In the movie she played a boorish, neurotic, hyperactive, man-hating, heterphobic, prejudiced, fatty airhead.
It required no rehearsal nor memorizing lines I am sure.
>> My husband asked the same question. I’m pretty sure that the credits listed her as a special guest star. I think that means that she doesn’t have a long future on the show.
Carlos Bernard (Tony Almeida) and Penny Johnson Gerald (Sherry Palmer) started off as “special guest stars”. Both lasted several seasons before being axed.
I could deal with that!! Wowza!! She was a cutie pie.
Nah, they usually alternate seasons between Islamic terrorists and domestic / other. Last season had all those nukes going off set by radical Muslims.
1st Season - Domestic terrorists / Serbians
2nd Season - Islamic terrorists
3rd Season - Mexican drug cartel / former MI6 agent
4th Season - Islamic terrorists
5th Season - Russian-separatists / Gov't conspiracy
6th Season - Islamic terrorists
7th Season - Tony A. / ???
So, following this, we can expect Season 8 to have as its bad guys... Islamic terrorists
Seems his son may have been murdered by the arms supplier to the black African general busy genociding everybody.
The President ain't gonna be happy about that, and Jack needs a pardon.
Much fun.
Nope. Bill Buchanan, James Heller, Milo Pressman, Chase Edmunds, Tony Almeida, Mike Doyle, Aaron Pierce and, of course, Jack Bauer are all white males that have been big time heroes in the show.
I missed the first 30 min or so, (will need to catchup, sounds like Jack's Senate testimony was a real scorcher...). Looks like I also missed the son's murder - I picked up on the suicide/not a suicide thing, figured that it needed to tie in somewhere.
My prediction? President's husband gets in over his head somewhere and Jack bails him out, thus getting a pardon. Or, maybe Jack doesn't bail him out, thus adding a +1 to my "24 Dead Pool". :-)
In S7, I think we’ll find that Tony Almeida is undercover for a secret group of ‘rogue’ agents (including Chloe O’Brian and Bill Buchanan) who are acting together to stop these particular terrorists.
Anyone else note that the PREZ has an uncanny resemblemce to hitlery, along with a stupe bubba-like hubby?
Some of the plot clues are in 24 Redemption.
The Presidents son was put at risk by a druggie friend that made him aware of illegal US financial transactions purchasing weapons for the black African general.
FYI, this cast photo was taken on the Memorial Bridge that crosses the Potomac River and leads to the Lincoln Memorial from Arlington National Cemetary in Virginia. (The cast is facing towards Arlington Cemetary.)
Record it!
Let’s take this into surreality: how about a cartel of rampaging political con artists from the south side of Chicago, intent on extorting all the money anyone has east of the Mississippi?
Oh, wait, that would be too close to reality, wouldn’t it?
Anyone that follows Jack like Freckles did is dead meat. I expected her to bite the big weenie in the first time she was backup for Jack...
finds out that Garafalo is the mole and Chloe takes her down in the bathroon by jamming a pen in her ear and drowning her in an unflushed commode.
There you go! My kind of scene. Should happen in real world.
hi melancholy, that’s exactly what I thought — that Tony and Jack are running a sting operation of some sort. Also hoped that darling Michelle would be brought back. Those were just about my two favorite characters.
The “first” or 2 hour prelude showing a week or so ago, has just that, Jon Voight is the BIG white bad guy, all the poor mistreated Africans are being manipulated by him for some obvious Corporate reason.
