That is so sweet. Imagine her pride, seeing her grandson become one of the world’s most powerful leaders?
I hope she visits the US soon, her heart would glow seeing him in the Oval Office, stool, whisk, spear, or no.
I remember my grandmother’s face when I told her I had a job (my first).
I am glad she loves him so!

He has been talking a lot about stools lately.

Quoted in the Standard newspaper, she said she had hoped to bring him a traditional spear and shield from her Luo tribe when she flies to Washington on Friday with some other family members. Not to mention the big cooking pot, the shrunken heads, and the large, ripe missionary.

Stories like this make him human.
I can imagine my own Grand mother coming from Montana with jars of Mince Meat, apple butter and a side of pork.

Barack’s father was a bigamist. He has no legal ties to the Obama name. The marriage was not legal.
His last name is his mother’s maiden name (Dunham) or the name from her second marriage (Soetoro).

When my grand kid becomes President, I'm bringing my fishing rods and getting a ride on “Bass Tracker 1” up the Potomac(or is that down the Potomac?)

There’s a certain phoniness to this whole thing. Obama lived in a mansion in Kenya...servants and all. I’m sure he had the best of the best. Mommy was a golddigger.

Is someone donating a prayer rug for the Oval Office, or will he bring his own?

Can’t she bring the spear as checked baggage???

Hard to believe we have come to this.
