Obama's 'climate czar' tied to socialism

The Washington Times is reporting that president-elect Obama's climate czar has ties to an international organization that promotes "global governance."

According to the report, as recently as last week Carol M. Browner was listed as one of "14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society." The group, one of many under the umbrella group Socialist International, calls for rich countries to shrink their economies in order to combat climate change.

Browner's name and biography has since been removed from the Socialist International's web page.

Ms. Browner's appointment as Obama's climate czar does not need Senate confirmation. She served previously as head of the Environmental Protection Agency under President Bill Clinton.

This will be, beyond a doubt, the most corrupt, evil communist conspiracy ever foisted upon a people who once thought themselves free!

Well now, you see, this is OK to the MSM. Now, if the appointee had ties to Exxon, et-al, or some anti-global warming cabal, that info would be trumpeted daily on the front page until said appointee was hounded out of the country!

Is anyone else as bothered by the growing use of the term “czar” as I am?

The "removal from web page" tactic is becoming pretty common for this administration.

I haven’t liked it since the first “drug czar” was appointed - I think HW Bush created that one. Too Russian!

Big deal. We let them take over the public schools. Now you have 3 generations of mush heads who think socialism is a good thing.

We have ourselves to blame.

Yes, it bothers the hell out of me. The “czar” term is applicable only to Russian emperors, and is a derivative of the Caesars of the Roman Empire...........

It’s making it really hard to keep up with his picks.

(so far CFR is winning)

If there is any appointee that the Republicans should filibuster (there are many), Carol Browner should be it. We’d be better off with Al Gore in this position because of his incompetence.

The following Obama quote has been removed from the senate site.

"Let me also say that I remain distressed that the White House during this confirmation process, which overall went smoothly, failed to provide critical documents as part of the record that could have provided us with a better basis to make our judgment with respect to the nomination. This White House continues to stymie efforts on the part of the Senate to do its job. I hope with the next nominee who comes up for the Supreme Court that the White House recognizes that in fact it is its duty not just to the Senate but to the American people to make sure we can thoroughly and adequately evaluate the record of every single nominee who comes before us."

Zero speeches

However it can still be found on some other sites including some pro Zero sites.

As they usually do... For a "simple debating society" they certainly have far more influence in US policy than I think healthy for any one organization to have. (Can you say "monopoly" boys and girls? I knew you could!)

"We" did our part, we voters gave Republicans every lever of power, less a super majority in the Senate and the Republicans were impotent, worse, they turned into big government, big spending Democrat mini-me's.
