You give him to much credit. He fully supports perversion and is not just placating anyone. This is a sincere act.
It is written that in the end times, people will become lovers of themselves, and there will be many false prophets and blasphemers, proclaiming the word of God.
And, that many people will be misled by false “Men of God”. And that the word and the truth will be falsely spoken.
