Reagan, you'll recall, was also savaged by the MSM, but overcame it better by sticking to principles, which W failed to do in many instances.

Reagan was a real target of the MSM, but negative war against Bush makes that pale in comparison. There was no concerted and organized internet campaign against him, there was no CNN, MSNBC, Daily Show, Colbert Report, books or movies outlining methods of assassination against him and though the network news shows played up his perceived weaknesses, he did not get 100% negative coverage.
