Waiters stab armed robber to death in Paris restaurant

Two men carrying a knife and an electronic stun gun stormed the Planet Sushi restaurant in the city's Latin Quarter on Sunday night, demanding money from the till.

But the team of Japanese staff turned on the men, stabbing one to death with a fish knife used for preparing sushi dishes, while the other was pinned to the ground outside the restaurant.

Don't mess with the Japanese. It doesn't matter if you have a knife and a stun gun. I sometimes wonder what is going through the minds of these robbers. Probably not much by the looks of it.

Actually, it turns out the waiters mistook the robbers for the food supply delivery.

He wanted to play Beatrice Kiddo, but instead of an Hattori Hanzo sword, he used a fish filleting knife!

Too bad they didn't get really nasty and use some of the bits of the blowfish that are supposed to be thrown out. Nothing like a little neurotoxin to slow down a robber.

Those sushi knives are pretty sharp. Wouldn't take much of a cut to ruin a perp's day.
