A collection company was calling my home again and again asking for a particular person when I first got assigned the phone number. I finally told them the police were looking for the same guy, that he was scamming cred card companies, and I believe he went to the west coast. Never heard from them again.
Glad that solution worked for you. I used get at least one call a week from credit agencies and lawyers looking for a woman who has my telephone number printed on her checks.
A couple of months ago the calls stopped, right about the time I got a call from a correctional institution looking to verify charges for telephone calls. I figure she’s in jail now and trying to scam their telephone service. LOL
