Agree. Lots of people take great offense to things that are, unfortunately, all too true, just because they happen to belong to that group. (Remind us of anything?)
The “don’t use such broad brush strokes/generalizations” is a common protest.
Happens all the time with the Hippie generation. So many Boomers are offended how so many come in and speak the truth that Boomers altered the nation in a bad way, etc.
It goes without saying that tons of “Boomers” are good solid people, and many willingly fought a war, etc, but the truth is far too many spoke out loudly and wielded heavy influence the wrong way.

, but the truth is far too many spoke out loudly and wielded heavy influence the wrong way. I am a boomer and am ashamed to admit you are right. The majority of us are lazy and don't want to live with the consequences of our decisions. It started in the late 60's when LBJ changed the rules for draft deferment and it's been going downhill since.

I am under 30, and I take no offense. Why? Because I see what the author describes on a daily basis. I attended publik schuuls my whole life, yet that was not the sole contributor to my education. If anyone merely relies on a institution for education or to learn a work ethic, you will be an abject failure. Far too many take this attitude in society today. When school stops, learning must also cease. Maybe I am a bit harsh, but I have worked with many of my peers, enough to know this is getting out of hand.
