No you aren’t. I noticed this earlier and tried to clean it up when posting. It was full of UK spelling.

We do try to clean those up when reported or when we catch them. It is why reporting is so important if you see it.

Wasn’t sure if you could do anything...Reported once and didn’t see results. But I will report from now on.

THANK YOU.

BTW read through the thread again....Sure can’t say freepers don’t have a humorous side.

Please post (in full) the footnoted sources of the information you are claiming.

How do you know that “kicking their @sses!” will do any good? Are you a professional “kicker” ?? Do you have some special affinity for “@sses”?
What exactly are you not telling us?

oops..sorry ‘bout the wordwrap (reply to post 27)

I see how it works. You reply to the post that you want deleted, pretending that it was yours. At the same time, you hit the abuse button to signal your fellow troll / moderator to delete the post. Then people like us come along later and it looks like you harmlessly pulled your own post.

I asked to be on thag troll list, but my application was apparently denied.

I wonder if this was used by a particular campaign we all “know and love”? Still in effect from what I can tell.

The worst is when you nail a moonbat hard, and then they post personal information on FR about you

How can they learn personal information about a poster? Or are lies fabricated? Plus I thought we were incognito. By the way, as a newbie, will you all let me know if I am on the suspect list? Not that it matters because I have an uncontrollable urge to post till you kick me off. And What About the Mentor Program?

It happens when someone is so rabid, that they spend several days searching out any other posts or tracks you may have left on the internet and put the pieces together, from emails, blogs, web pages, other forums, etc.

but “arms length posters” who post angry and usually mild profanity filled

~~~
Those of us who’ve been through more than 3 election cycles here know the troll gig well .. there’s been quite a few lately I’d put in that category:
*n00bs with a mission*
Luckily, we have search, so you can get a Rorschach of their angle and patterns.
Ignoring them does work.
Just generally, there’s an increase in the profane, vulgar, abusive or obscene posters. They may or may not be part of a personal attack post.
Can those be dealt with ?
And I’m not saying those posts are in the majority from n00bs .. there are oldtimers who seem to have adopted less than civil posting habits.
We want good n00bs, we want our base to increase and FR to keep growing, but I notice the fall off of many familiar posters since that type of post seems to have increased, and the posters are not being reined in.
More than a few FReepers have told me they’re staying away more and more because of the discomfort created by those guys. They create a very uncomfortable, uncivil environment.
Just my 2-12 cents .. flame away ... ;)
~~~

Thank you, Mods!

Feeling a Little Down, Binky?

well knock it the hell off and cowboy up!

Srsly - there’s lots of weird oogie vibes around this week - and it ain’t Halloween. It’s planned - with malice aforethought:

Check out this little tidbit from comments at HillBuzz:

***

I work for a campaign ...We pay people and organize people to go to all the online sites and “play the part of a clinton or mccain supporter who just switched our support for obama”

We know, Honey—it’s called astroturfing Axelturfing. But lots of folks don’t know—and they’re the ones getting ‘a little down in the dumps’ and their ‘downs’ are spreading. It’s viral. Only this virus was made in a [PR] lab somewhere and released intentionally on an unsuspecting populace.

We do this to stifle your motivation and to destroy your confidence.

We did this the whole primary and it worked.

Sprinkle in mass vote confusion and it becomes bewildering. Most people lose patience and just give up on their support of a candidate and decide to just block out tv, news, websites, etc.

Very Alinsky-esque.
