The frustrating thing to me is that Republicans could have addressed these groups and their funding while they held a majority and they chose not to.
World Can’t Wait, International ANSWER, ACORN, Code Pink, a gazillion left wing foundations, etc. are all intertwined.
I think that Democrats used the Republican’s fear of being accused of “McCarthyism” against them very well and have succeeded in installing a president whose election is celebrated by the Communist Party USA.... If there was any curiosity at all on the Republican leadership’s part.
Or maybe Republicans just didn’t care and were glad to turn a blind eye as they fully expected to remain the majority party.
Whatever, we’re in a world of hurt for a long time to come.
If she is siding with the Revolutionary Communist Party, it's got to be about more than just 'hatred' for Bush.
Couldn't have said it better myself. The repubs are a bunch of spineless wussies for not going after the treasonous dems on their commie connections, especially when all of this information is out there and accessible to anyone. They could have presented it at hearings and told the whiners to shove the "McCarthyism" stuff up their butts. It's not a "witch hunt". Witches never existed, traitorous commies do, and DO represent a major security threat.
and have succeeded in installing a president whose election is celebrated by the Communist Party USA...
For anyone who doesn't believe it:
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!
We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-peoples movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all peoples movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.
The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and peoples unity.
There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

So, how do we form a Third Party? I’ve already given it a name: The Patriot Party.
We have to DO something between now and 2010 to stop this madness. Who’s running against Harry Reid in Nevada in 2010? I want to donate . . . I don’t have much, but every dollar counts.

I went there but don’t have the inclination to further split the Republican demographic for goals which the Republican party was supposed to have built-in to it’s own charter.
The election of 2008 was lost because of leadership, not content.
What do you think, do you agree? Should we waterboard weak-kneed republicans? These third parties will always split our vote.
The question is what do we do?
***I don’t know. If the genuine assessment is that the enemy really is in the gate, and the constitutional republic has taken a fatal blow, then the prudent thing to do would be to find a way to get the heck out of Dodge. But where to? South America? What’s the point?
I had this same question come up on my thread over at Intrade. The key seems to be finding a way to figure out if this is a deathblow.

F’r instance, when Hitler took over Germany, a loyal republican at the time who foresaw the evil coming would find a way to get out, or be a part of the resistance. But that wasn’t a death blow to Germany nor democracy in Germany. It was close. And the solution required lotsa outside “convincing”. I don’t see any outside convincing going on anywhere.
This has been the strangest political episode I’ve ever witnessed. Stranger than Watergate, stranger than Lewinsky.
