“We” didn’t nominate McCain. Democrats crossing over in open primaries in critical States did. Right now, Republicans across the US should be demanding that States return to closed primaries. Why should Democrats be able to determine who the Republican candidate is going to be?

Just so!
Starting a few months prior and then during the primaries I lurked DU & Kos. Both places were organizing cross-over and re-registration efforts (from D or I[as necessitated]) to nominate McDonkey. I remembr Kos writing specifically about it.

I also remember Rush bringing it up, once. After that, it dissappeared... not just frm Kos, but from everywhere. That was before it became SOP to snap a screenshot of stuff, and people relied on such Lefty-owned places as Google.

When Rush 1st suggestd Op.Chaos, he noted that the idea wasn't new, he was just copying the Leftists.

I suspect that in the end, though, once McSocialist was our nominee, no matter which Dem - The Cackle or if they picked the stench of BO - we'd lost.

McConcessionSpeech was going to throw the election regardless.

Look at it this way: the only way for him to keep his (self-proclaimed) constituency (i.e. MSM) happy was to keep undermining the Rs. As POTUS, he'd be the party's leader, and the 'phants are reluctant to stand-up to an "R" POTUS, even as he drives them off a cliff.

But, if a "D" is POTUS, he can make a great show of pushing his party to sell-out, so he becomes the beloved of the Socialist again.

That's why I say that no matter who the Dems put up, McSurrender would have thrown the election .

NB:
McCainannites, don't both w/the mock indignation at the revelation of his throwing the election. Once out of primaries he went limp and stopped campaigning, except to do stupid things. The polling frm the most accurate polls show he simply had to shut-up & he'd have won. That was after he picked Palin as VP. Every stupid thing he did barely hurt him... He was visibly starting to panic, (don't believe me go look at the news vids from that timeframe see his body language/expressions). He kept searching, though! And whn he found that 90%+ of citizens hated the bailout bill, he saw his chance! He knew he could stop the "Palin Momentum"!
