What was her purpose in being with this group of scoundrels?
The picture alone means not much, unless one knows the atmosphere in which it was taken. Did Hugo put his arm around her just for the shot, or are they really that amicable towards one another?
If I had to bet, I'd lay money that the girl is an ultra-leftist and probably admires the reprobate, believing all his lies; falling for his duplicity. But I wouldn't cry 'conspiracy' on account of a fraction-of-a-second captured on a snapshot.
