Never in the course of human events have so many vested so much in one who has done so little.

Well said, and I’m sure Churchill would agree with you.

Never in the course of human events have so many vested so much in one who has done so little.

He's actually done nothing.

Other than win the presidential election, he's actually accomplished nothing else.

If winning the election is all that's required to call somebody a hero and "accomplished", then, he better quit while he's ahead. Once heactually starts "presidenting" and doing things, then perhaps those nutty reporters will have a cause to either celebrate or castigate. My thoughts are that regardless of how things go, the liberal media will just celebrate anything good that comes out of Obama's administration, and they'll ignore the bad. In four years time, even if the country has taken a bigger turn for the worse, the Obamacrats will still be delusional enough to praise the magical one.

To the mainstream media and especially the liberal media, politics is like a sporting event where you support your team regardless of how bad they perform.

In fact, politics is a sporting event in general. Once people choose a team to support, it's going to be very hard to break them away from that support. Liberals are the worst of the bunch. They can see all the bad that their team has done, but they'll keep hoping for better in the future, even though the future means a lot more of the same. Even if they can see that the game plan is not changing and the game players are not changing, and the coaches or managers are not changing, the supporters will valiantly (stupidly?) keep hoping for different outcomes. But, the the most idiotic of them all are the people that report on the team and the players and the coaches.

As far as politics is concerned, the reporters have become fans of the liberal teams. No matter how much the liberal team gets wrong, the liberal supporters on the reporting side will keep looking at only the good, forgetting or ignoring the bad, and hoping for a different outcome with same bad ideas and the same inept people.

Winston Churchill describing fighter pilots in WWII: "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few."
Very nice adaptation - but I can't quite credit you in the tagline! See below. What to do? If you could edit it down to give me four more letters, "aret", it would be perfect. ;-)
Now if you'd said:

"Never in history have so many vested so much in one who has done so little. csmusaret"

... it would have fit fine. Nice try though. ;-)
