A rock has more talent that springsteen! I never could understand what people heard or saw in him. Born in the USA is an anti-American song...

I know it is. Yet it's played at how many patriotic events across the country. I've heard bands perform it at 4th of July ceremonies, ignorantly thinking it WAS a pro-American song. It's actually mocking U.S. patriotism with lines like "gonna kill the yellow man" (in Vietnam, etc), as if that was the reason we were there (racism, etc). It makes zero mention of the millions of 'yellow' men, women and children who were slaughtered by the 'yellow' communists under decades of brutal repression (before and AND after the war was over).
