Er, to be fair here, it was the Chief Justice that flubbed it, which threw Obambi off.

I don’t want to be in the business of sticking up for the new cretin-in-chief here, but I’d prefer to keep criticism of him grounded in reality.

This is just silly, and inaccurate.

Yes. Must agree. Justice Roberts flubbed and Obama was thrown off. Let’s call it as it was and not be small. THere is enough accurate points politically to disagree with when it comes to Obama. We do not need to blame him for something that is not his error. We are larger then the Democrats I would think.

Obama started speaking over Roberts at the beginning if you watch the video. Threw the whole thing out of whack.

To be accurate, it sounds as though Obama jumped in to repeat the line as Roberts was initially reading the oath. Had Obama just waited, CJ Roberts wouldn't have had to repeat himself.

Roberts, who was thrown by having to repeat part of the oath, did fumble the words.

Patience is sometimes a virtue, even when you're President.

Exactly. Obama was gracious in not correcting Roberts and Roberts was gracious in accepting blame. Watching the luncheon just now, when Obama walked up to Roberts you can see Roberts mouthing “It was my fault...”

Roberts messed up the wording, Obama hesitated, Roberts haltingly corrected himself, Obama repeated... not a big deal.

But that's not the start of the flubs. The first flub was when Obama interrupted Roberts early on, forcing the oath to back up to the beginning, and I believe that's what threw off Roberts. After that, they both made more flubs. It just kind of fed on itself.
