Actually, Sadat was killed in Oct 8, 1981. I remembered it was Fall of my freshman year in H.S. at the time.

You probably don’t know that I’m likely FR’s main proponent of respect for the authentic Bible Codes (not the hokey ones).

Certainly Newton’s efforts were amazing—particularly for his time.

So, what’s the difference between Germantia and numerology?

I’ve forgotten.

The difference would be the authority that they were composed by God. In the case of the codes, coincidence is obliterated by the mathematical odds of their existence.

The Gemantria backing up or underscoring the contents of the codes would, I suppose, be damned long odds in the million to one category. Consider that ANYTHING written in Hebrew also has a sum. Then consider a consistent harmony of those sums plus a harmony or relevance in the verse or line in which they are found...and one may suppose the existence of a VERY large intellect out there somewhere.

Funny thing though, I asked an Orthodox Rabbi if he had looked into the codes and he smiled and shook his head with a finality that impressed me. He couldn't have possibly cared less.

Actually, I've done some research in bible code results and the results are mind boggling. Not sure what to make of it, but, there are some amazing results.

I have as well and have found some truly astonishing things. Here's the rub, for me: these things speak of a history that may yet be but tend to be a distraction from the far clearer "what is". Even the correlations found are open to endless debate. So, Noah's flood correlates with the Black Death. OK, now what?

As an amusing aside, if you render the digital representation of the number 666 (convert the number to its corresponding digital form) You get an anti-pallindrome, exactly opposite forwards to back. If you do the same with the Jewish terms for God, they are pallindromes (exactly the same forwards or back). Significant? I used to think so, now I think probably not.

Interesting stuff but hard to say what it means. I still think G-d revealed what He intended to reveal in Hebrew and Greek without the need for tricky codes.

But... some form of superior intelligence (Twilight Zone music here...) may be able to see or understand the codes. Who knows?

All I know is that Jesus died for my sins and therefore, I will spend eternity in Heaven. I don't need a code for that!

And that is what I meant by “What Is”.

I think it was Ram Bam that said: 'If you have faith, you don't need proof. If you don't have faith, no proof is enough." Wise advice from a great Rabbi.

You can discredit this simply by showing that the book of Daniel isn’t even in the Torah.

Two, bible codes are supposed to only be searched for within the first 5 books of the old testament (Torah).

= =- =

According to whom?

Not in my book.

It does happen to be the case that Genesis alone has some incredibly unusual letter and linguistic idiosyncrasies that seem to be related to the Codes.

“reign” -?

Technically, we have no king, yet. Even Obama, not yet made Emperor by Congress, or Protector of the City, of whatever, began to serve his term of office.

I understand this may seem a distinction without a difference, at a time like this, but it is legally correct, for the moment.
