Media unleash round-the-clock Obama-mania

President Obama's inauguration became a dream come true for the media, which often are all dressed up with nowhere to go.
Not so on Tuesday.
Journalists and news organizations went through their paces from dawn to dusk, some late into the night.
The inauguration was dramatically framed as "The Moment" on CNN, "The Hour of Change" on Fox News. Only C-SPAN presented the historic event with unembellished live sound, free from the patter of pundits and anchors or the distraction of gaudy, on-screen graphics.
Even the most complex packaging of "the moment" could not hide the imperfect oath of office, during which Mr. Obama and Supreme Court Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. mangled a few of the weighty words - about five seconds provided instant headlines, along with a little levity amid all the pomp and circumstance.

MSNBC in particular homed in on protesters who taunted former President George W. Bush, according to Newsbusters, a conservative press watchdog. Anchorman Chris Matthews also compared the Bush family to the Romanovs, the reigning family of old Russia. NBC correspondent Tom Brokaw likened former Vice President Dick Cheney, who was in a wheelchair, to "Dr. Strangelove," from the Cold War-era movie of the same name.
They have snookered America with their lies, and so they celebrate. Now, lets look at some facts:
1 - Obama's inaugural speech was lame
2 - His transition has been marred with scandal and gaffs
3 - The appearances at the balls were like email spam
4 - Flubbed his oath of office
5 - His VP's wife let a big stinky cat out of the bag on Oprah
Gird your loins people. Gird them.

Tom Brokaw likened former Vice President Dick Cheney, who was in a wheelchair, to "Dr. Strangelove," from the Cold War-era movie of the same name. These are the people who made this day possible. They are the enemy. If we keep buying what his sponsors sell, they will keep sponsoring him.

Has anyone considered this was foreshadowing? If this were a Shakespearean play, it would be.

He flubbed the first part by not waiting for Roberts to finish, but Roberts flubbed the rest of it. No?

So let’s sum up for readers, shall we?
In the short time (joined after the election with a “nobama” handle?) you’ve been posting here, you’ve:
Admitted to being in socialist Canada. Claimed global warming is fact.
Bashed Palin.
Claimed the basis for the Iraq war was a lie.
And now you’re casting aspersions at Roberts??
Charming. That you Rahm?...

The tripping up on the oath of office is a bad omen & - not to get to philosophical - was probably his subconscious attempting to reject it which lead to the temporary conscious level disruption.

I knew it was bad when I happened upon CBN and Pat Robertson was *gushing* about how wonderful HolyO was today! And that he couldn’t find anything to fault him with—yikes!

The networks went way overboard on this. 0bama’s inauguration was on like 25 channels on Directv. Cartoon network didn’t air the inauguration but viewers to that channel couldn’t help but seeing a cartoon likeness of 0bama every commercial break with Inauguration Day slapped in one of the corners. Some breaks they asked kids what color they should paint the white house and one black kid said black.

The media has “wet” themselves in a very special way. That’s as nice as I can put it.

The media is in love with Obama just like it was with Clinton and will do what they can to protect him from any criticism. Anyone too critical of him will instantly be painted a racist.
But just like with the Clintons, when you have the press on your side, you tend to get lazy and sloppy believing you’ll never be criticized no matter how badly you blow it.
Every president is tested in many ways by world and domestic events. The press won’t be able to cover for this guy forever. Especially given his total lack of experience in DC and foreign policy + being one of the most liberal of all senators. The honeymoon will end really fast now that he has to actually do something.

Lol, nope, but I could do the job as good as anyone. Watch this:
Yes we can. Change you can believe in. Fired up, ready to go. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We might not get there in one term, or in two terms, or in three terms.
Pretty good, eh?

To be honest, Justice Roberts *did* flub up after he was interrupted by an anxious Obama—they BOTH stumbled for a few seconds, then got their rhythm back. I don’t think it was on purpose, I think having 2 million people watching them made them both a little nervous, IMO.

You left out the phrase he inherited/stole from President Bush—”It’s going to take a lot of hard work!!”
LOL.

I’d bet any one of us, tasked with the job of swearing in Barak Hussein Obama, could easily flub it.
