Joseph P. Kennedy II, whose father Robert F. Kennedy championed Native American rights, is at war with a band of Navajo Indians.

The Cameron Chapter of Navajo Nation is charging that Kennedy, president of Citizens Energy Corp. and its for-profit business Citizens Wind, is trying to seize control of a proposed wind farm on the tribe’s reservation on Gray Mountain in northern Arizona.

If Kennedy screws with that bunch and he will surely loose. If he was stupid enough to build anything on the res, then it is the property of the res. If he beats that chapter out of anything it will be a first, as they are experts at skinning the white man.

All this while his uncle Teddy is bending every possible effort, both fair and foul, to kill the Cape Wind project because it will impinge on the ocean view from his Hyannisport mansion.

Prediction - Caroline will be moving to MA shortly in preparation for taking over uncle Teddy’s Senate seat.

No doubt Kennedy will have a staunch ally in McCain.

Donovan, Catch the Wind

In the chilly hours and minutes
Of uncertainty
I want to be
In the warm hold of your loving mind.

To feel you all around me
And to take your hand
Along the sand
Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind.

When sundown pales the sky
I wanna hide a while
Behind your smile
And everywhere I’d look, your eyes I’d find.

For me to love you now
Would be the sweetest thing,
T’would make me sing
Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind.

Dee dee da da la da da da da da
Ya da da, da da, da da

When rain has hung the leaves with tears
I want you near
To kill my fears
To help me to leave all my blues behind.

For standing in your heart
Is where I wanna be
And I long to be,
Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind.

Ah, but I may as well try and catch the wind
...

“Prediction - Caroline will be moving to MA shortly in preparation for taking over uncle Teddy’s Senate seat”

My husband and I were saying that very same thing last night. I saw the TV news crawls this morning: lo and behold, she has withdrawn her name from consideration for the NY Senate seat for “personal reasons”. Translation: “personal reasons” means she needs time to call the moving company and time to get packed for her quick move back here to Massachusetts.

Teddy was bad for Massachusetts; Teddy was bad for the USA.
Caroline will be more of the same.

My first thought yesterday when I read she dropped out of the running.

Actually made that prediction me'self a couple of days ago. ;)

..... Madame, you will get absolutely no dispute from me on those points. IMO, he’s a man who has been in over his head ever since Chappaquidick.

“he’s a man who has been in over his head ever since Chappaquidick.”

I will never ever understand why the idiots in Massachusetts keep re-electing him. Ooops... I answered my own question: there is a majority of idiots here in Massachusetts, look at how badly our state is run and yet they keep electing the same old same old over and over again.

..... Of course, certain “connected” parties in MA are of the opinion that MA is being very nicely managed. The game is well and truly rigged to their particular benefits.

Only half in jest do I suggest that MA state government could probably be successfully prosecuted under RICO statutes.

Well then it is a good match for Joe Shirley and the Navajo reservation. The Shirley mob runs roughshod over the other members of the tribe, stuffing multiple millions of tribal income in their pockets while three hundred thousand other people practically starve to death in mud huts in the hinterlands.

..... This kind of stuff just makes me angry. It seems to me that the only way to get any justice nowadays is to go to DC and pay a bigger bribe.

Blago, Richardson, and Obama have nothing on Shirley, he is the master of corruption and bribes.

I am wondering where this individual who refers to “skinning the white man” lives. I live fifteen minutes from Cameron. Us “skinners” have main trunk powerlines running overhead yet most of us have no power or running water—never had it, hopefully never will. The writer refers to Cameron specifically—wonder if he or she has ever been there. Such racist junk has no place in this world. The small handful of businesses in Cameron are not owned by Navajos, but by non-Indians on privately owned chunks and the community gets no benefits from them except for the opportunity to pay tourist dollar price for a loaf of bread or gallon of gas.
