I have respect for you and your ping list, but this story has absolutely nothing to do with the Middle East or Terrorism. The cursury relationship with antisemitism is only based on the author's need to bring it up. Catholics can't be excommunicated for being stupid. They can also make their own decision to end the excommunication whenever they wish.
That said this isn't much of an issue, since the excommunication isn't being lifted on Bishop Williamson, and his antisemitic views are part of his religious doctrine, rather a group of whom he's simply a member and for a matter unrelated to Jewhatred or conspiracy theories.
