Big Government Republicanism. This is something that all who are pushing Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana need to know about. I live here and know the man well. He too is a Big Government Republican.

He’s been in office only a year and we conservatives have already had a couple of run-ins with him. Tax cuts and a legislative pay raise.

That is interesting. Please expand on this.

A Governor, no matter how conservative and honest, is not the emperor or king. Often he is forced to work with the legislature... and due to being governor, he gets the blame.

That said, the reason GWB so easily gave away billions and trillions of $$ in meaningless social pandering programs is because as someone brought up in opulent wealth, money really meant very little to him.

He figured it just another “thing” to be doled out, like property or cars or stock options.

The reason most billionaires are Democrats is because they are subconsciously guilty at being so blessed... and thus any criticism that the ‘non wealthy’ are suffering causes them to begin handing out goodies.

If you look at all the politicians in the country, the most efficient and honest politicians are the ones who were NOT brought up in the midst of wealth.

The states have to be big to compete with the Federal behemoth -- and the Constitution, original intent, allows any state to be as big as it needs be -- it is the FEDERAL government which is to be limited. If Jindal is for having the States carry the load, that could mean he is for the Federal government not to.

Since the states COMPETE with one another -- competition for the good -- States can be very effective, in theory. What is hibbling is when we have basket cases like California and Michician getting bailed out by the fed, or states begging the fedgov to take over state programs.

If there is any hope of recovering from the economic calamity coming at us due to a congestive heart failing, morbidly obese, diabetic, and senility insane FedGov, it is in the states getting stronger, and taking over some key roles that the FedGov now has -- notably (1) the issuance of money and (2) business regulation.

Doesn't matter. All conservatives and Republicans care about anymore is race, ethnicity, gender, and pandering. And it's no coincidence that they are now becoming consistent losers who are tearing up the country as much as the Democrats and liberals.
