I know Pres. Bush's failings. I don't need someone who first wrote "Suck" magazine and now edits the misnamed "Reason" magazine to tell me this.

Would a Libertarian such as Gillespe run the country any better? We would be suffering terrorist attacks every week, but I guess we wouldn't notice it as we will all be able to take legalized heroin and marijuana.

"We would be suffering terrorist attacks every week..

Bull. For one thing, unlike Bush who never, ever fired on single security bureaucrat, we would of had tens, if not a hundreds fired in the days after 9/11. From the FBI to the CIA, Minetta, the military. The last plane, where the citizens disregarded all of the government expert advice and acted like natural Americans would of been the fate of all the air craft if we didn't live in a constant 'be passive about everything' except obeying Republican and Democrat Big Nanny government. By the way, Bush's famous reading list is airport reading. None of it intellectually challenging. Kind of sad really, and sad that he would let his list get out. The good thing is, finally, please GOD, have the GOP die. Let the RINOs all go on their knees to Bwarny Fwank, and let there be a conservative party that will receive the vast amount of present GOP donors and fieldworkers, because that really is the GOP now. Conservative voters, conservative donors, conservative workers and a elitist, liberal, country club, East Coast 'leadership'. Time for some a revolt and out with the aristocracy.

The Clintons used to do what you have just done - you don’t like the message, so you’ve attacked the messenger. But this particular message has a lot of validity to it.

Bush has set the cause of conservatism back at least a generation, maybe for all time, and in doing so, he has relegated the GOP to long-term minority status.

Yes, he fought the war on terror, although not nearly as aggressively as he should have, but his spending and regulatory policies will set our government so far into debt that we will some day not be able to afford an adequate defense. The result will be revolution, civil war, invasion, or any combination of the above.

Because W never embrace conservatism, I fear that the US has reached a tipping point at which more than half of the people believe in the free lunch, and will vote for politicians who promise to steal from everyone else to provide for their free lunch. We have become a nation of kleptomaniacs. That cannot be sustained forever.

W, we’ve been assured by Rush Limbaugh, is a really nice guy, but I remember him saying the same thing about David Dinkins.
